About
OrbAstro’s ESPA-class satellite platform family covers three configurations designed to interface with ESPA (EELV Secondary Payload Adapter) rings and dedicated rideshare dispensers, scaling from compact quarter-plate to full-size primary-mission platforms. The ORB-0.1T (quarter-plate, 15-inch interface, ≤50 × 48 × 55 cm) provides 30 kg dry / 39 kg wet bus mass with 50 W continuous power (expandable to 500 W) and supports up to 100 kg of payload for £300,000. The ORB-0.5T (half-plate, 15-inch interface, ≤50 × 100 × 55 cm) steps up to 36 kg dry / 56 kg wet with 120 W continuous power (expandable to 1.1 kW) for up to 500 kg of payload at £450,000. The ORB-1T (full-plate, 24-inch interface, ≤101 × 101 × 55 cm) is the flagship, providing 78 kg dry / 108 kg wet bus mass with 490 W continuous power (expandable to 3.5 kW; 8 kW peak) for payloads up to 1,000 kg at £600,000. All three variants are designed for LEO lifetimes exceeding 25 years, MEO up to 10 years, and GEO up to 20+ years. Operations are provided as a managed service at £8,000 per month across all variants. The ESPA-class family enables customers to fly large, high-performance Earth observation, communications, or science payloads on cost-effective shared launch vehicles. OrbAstro is a UK-based satellite platform manufacturer.
