As space exploration and commercial activities expand beyond low Earth orbit, the need for efficient in-orbit propellant refilling and storage solutions becomes increasingly critical for a sustainable future space transportation ecosystem. MT Aerospace is developing the necessary infrastructure to support long-duration missions, satellite servicing, and deep-space exploration by providing reliable, scalable, and efficient orbital propellant depot technology. Our focus is on advancing cryogenic storage and transfer technologies, enabling spacecraft to refill in orbit rather than relying solely on the initial propellant amount. This capability will significantly reduce costs, increase mission flexibility, and extend the operational life of space assets. By establishing an in-orbit refilling network, we aim to create a sustainable ecosystem that supports a wide range of missions, from Earth orbit operations and lunar exploration to Mars-bound spacecraft and beyond. Our expertise spans multiple key areas: Cryogenic Propellant Storage, Autonomous Refilling Systems, Scalable Depot Architectures, and Space Logistics and Mission Support. We are committed to collaboration and innovation, working alongside industry leaders, space agencies, and commercial partners to develop and demonstrate the technologies that will shape the next phase of space infrastructure. We already established a fundamental heritage for cryogenic propellant storage, conditioning and transfer. Assigned by ESA, MT Aerospace and their partner OHB System and SENER develop a technology concept and roadmap to demonstrate in-orbit cryogenic propellant storage and transfer by 2028+ in frame of InSPoC-2 (In Space Proof of Concepts). This will set a fundamental milestone for an emerging in-orbit refilling demand of the future space transportation ecosystem.
