About
MT Aerospace (formerly MAN Technologie) is Germany’s leading manufacturer of composite and metallic structural components for space launcher propulsion systems. The company’s primary products are composite overwrapped pressure vessels (COPVs), cryogenic propellant tanks (for LOX and LH2), and solid rocket motor casings used in European launch vehicles.
For Ariane 5, MT Aerospace manufactured the solid booster (EAP) motor casings and the lower stage propellant tank structures. For Ariane 6, MT Aerospace supplies the composite payload fairing and load-bearing structural components. The company also manufactures the solid propellant motor cases for the P120C solid booster (shared between Vega-C and Ariane 6 strap-ons).
MT Aerospace serves commercial, institutional (ESA, DLR), and defense customers. Beyond European launch vehicles, the company exports COPVs and tank technology to satellite manufacturers for on-board propellant storage. MT Aerospace is headquartered in Augsburg, Bavaria — Germany’s traditional aerospace manufacturing hub — and is part of the MT Aerospace Group.
