About
OreSat0.5 is a 2U CubeSat developed by Oregon State University’s Portland State Aerospace Society (PSAS). It serves as a technology demonstration platform for two primary systems: the attitude determination and control system (ADCS) of the modular, expandable, and open-source OreSat bus, and the Cirrus Flux Camera (CFC) short wave infrared (SWIR) sensor. The satellite was handed off to ExoLaunch on May 27th, 2024, and was subsequently deployed into a 510 km sun-synchronous low Earth orbit on August 16th, 2024, as part of the SpaceX Transporter-11 mission. First data beacons were received via the SatNOGS network shortly after deployment, indicating stable battery voltages and temperatures.
