About

Paradigma Technologies’ Ka Band Receiver with UHF Transceiver is a highly integrated dual-function module for CubeSats and SmallSat platforms. The Ka Band Receiver front-end accepts 26.5–30 GHz signals and downconverts to an IF output of 3.4–5.8 GHz with a noise figure of ≤2.5 dB and up to 110 dB of gain. The integrated UHF Transceiver operates in the 900–930 MHz band and provides 1 W RF output, a 2.5 dB NF receive chain, and -120 dBm sensitivity at 125 kbps PSK — adding a TT&C redundancy channel alongside the Ka Band link. An integrated multi-standard modem supports FSK (up to 2 Mbps), FLRC, LoRa, MSK/4-FSK/GFSK/GMSK/ASK/AFSK/PSK, and IEEE 802.15.4 with spread spectrum, FEC, and channel hopping. Processing is handled by an embedded 70 MIPS MCU with DSP and 16 MB flash with OTA update capability. The unit is housed in an AL7075-T6 chassis with 3 mm shielding, compatible with standard CubeSat platforms.
