About
PIE-SIAS (Scale-set Image Analysis Software) is an advanced image analysis software independently developed by PIESAT. It uses an object-oriented analyzing method, representing a qualitative leap over traditional pixel-based image information extraction. The software provides interpretation and analysis capability for the whole processing chain of multi-source remote sensing data. Its functions include scale-set segmentation, manual sample selection, automatic sample selection, object-oriented classification, post-processing of image classification, semi-automatic interactive information extraction, and thematic mapping. PIE-SIAS has been applied across multiple industry sectors including land industry, water conservancy, agriculture, forestry, and environmental protection, supporting extraction of thematic information from remote sensing imagery for these application domains.
