The PEPT-230 (Positive Expulsion Propellant Tank) is a spherical titanium propellant tank with 6 liters nominal volume designed for hydrazine monopropellant propulsion systems. Positive propellant expulsion is provided by an EPDM-based rubber diaphragm retained between welded hemispheres, ensuring gas-free propellant feed in any satellite orientation.
The tank is manufactured from two Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy hemispheres joined by Electron Beam Welding (EBW). The EPZ-63 diaphragm material is silica-free (no SiO₂), which improves downstream thruster catalyst performance. The diaphragm enables multiple fill/drain cycles, simulation tests, and system integration without limitation on fill degree.
Flight heritage with the CNES Myriade satellite family (ESSAIM, PARASOL, DEMETER, SPIRALE, ELISA) and GOKTURK-2. Approved for SSC 400 psi requirement.
