About

The PEPT-420N is a large-volume spherical titanium propellant tank with 37.5 liters nominal volume and 30 kg maximum hydrazine capacity. It is one of Rafael’s most heritage-rich propellant tanks, having been delivered for numerous major satellite programs worldwide.

The tank features the silica-free EPN-40 (EPDM-type) rubber diaphragm, which prevents SiO₂ contamination and provides positive propellant expulsion throughout the satellite life. Available port interface options include 1/4″ weldable titanium tubes or MS 33656-4 threaded connections.

Extensive flight heritage includes the OFEQ, EROS, and TecSAR Israeli reconnaissance programs; the PROTEUS bus (Jason-1, CALIPSO, COROT, OSTM/Jason-2, SMOS); Galileo GIOVE-B; Myriade Evolution; NEOSAT Spacebus; and CERES. The silica-free diaphragm type is certified for ADN-based green propellant compatibility.
