The PEPT-590GB is Rafael’s highest-capacity propellant tank, providing 204 liters nominal volume and 154 kg propellant capacity in a cylindrically extended hemisphere configuration. It is designed for large satellite platforms with high propellant mass requirements.
Unlike the spherical PEPT tanks, the PEPT-590GB uses a cylindrical extension section between the two hemispheres, extending overall length to approximately 1,170 mm. All construction is Ti-6Al-4V titanium with EPN-40 silica-free diaphragm, joined by Electron Beam Welding. Polar mounting allows integration into the satellite’s central thrust tube structure.
Designed and qualified for the Globalstar-2 constellation (24 tanks delivered, 2010–2013). Additional flight heritage includes O3B constellation (20 tanks, 2013–2018), Sentinel-1 A/B/C/D (TAS-I), and COSMO-SG. Actual burst rupture pressure tested to 72 bar.
