About
OrbFIX is RoInSpace’s flight-proven, high-accuracy GNSS receiver designed for satellite navigation in Low Earth Orbit and beyond. The unit delivers centimetre-class post-processed positioning and real-time sub-metre accuracy by tracking multiple GNSS constellations simultaneously — GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou — across L1, L2, and L5 frequency bands. OrbFIX has achieved TRL 9 (flight qualified and operational) through in-orbit demonstration on the CORVUS 6U CubeSat mission. The receiver generates precise orbit determination outputs suitable for Earth observation, formation flying, rendezvous and proximity operations, and scientific geodesy missions. Its compact form factor is optimised for CubeSat and small satellite integration while providing performance traditionally associated with much larger navigation units. OrbFIX supports raw GNSS measurements (pseudoranges, carrier phases, Doppler) output in standard formats, enabling precise point positioning (PPP) and differential GNSS (DGNSS) post-processing workflows. The product is developed by RoInSpace (Romania In Space), a Romanian aerospace SME founded by engineers with backgrounds in ESA and national space agency projects. OrbFIX is commercially available with export authorisation for non-ITAR applications.
