About

VESPA — the Vega Secondary Payload Adapter — carries a main satellite in the upper position and a secondary passenger, or a cluster of auxiliary payloads, in the lower position. On Vega it accommodates a main satellite of about 1000 kg together with roughly 600 kg below; VESPA-C exploits the larger Vega-C fairing for dual passengers above 400 kg each.

SAB Launch Services sells flights in both positions and provides the full service around them: interface definition, integration onto the adapter, storage and shipment, insurance, launch campaign support at Kourou and post-launch activities.

VESPA suits an operator whose spacecraft is too large for a CubeSat dispenser slot but who does not need a dedicated launch.
