About
The LinkStar radio system is a complete satellite radio system powered by Globalstar™, designed for a range of communication applications. It is explicitly stated as ‘space qualified’ and can be used on a full range of satellites, including CubeSATs, MicroSATs, and large satellites, as well as launch vehicles. LinkStar offers both simplex and duplex based communications, operating with as little as 350mW of power. When integrated with the QuickSAT/VMS communications and flight management environment, users can define radio operations and ensure secure data transmission from satellite to ground station. The QuickSAT environment for ground operations provides added flexibility for visualizing data on a ground control station via a secure VPN link. Beyond space applications, LinkStar can also be integrated into terrestrial and aerial systems such as near space payloads, drones, LPG tanks, water tanks, pipelines, electricity meters, cars, trucks, boats, and sea or land containers. The systems are flexible for prototyping and field testing, and sci_Zone offers assistance with software and hardware development, testing, FCC certification, and manufacturing.
