About
The SCU1 is a versatile signal conditioning unit designed for laboratory applications, functioning as a combined power supply, display, and analogue conditioning unit. It is specifically engineered for use with compatible Bartington Instruments’ magnetic field sensors. This unit can operate independently as a three-channel magnetic field measuring instrument, providing accurate readings. Alternatively, it can serve as a conditioning unit, preparing signals prior to analogue-to-digital conversion. Key features include independent low and high-pass filters, as well as gain and offset controls for each of the X, Y, and Z channels. The SCU1 powers one three-axis sensor, with sensor outputs available as analogue voltages and displayed on LCDs. Both unconditioned and conditioned XYZ signals are accessible as analogue voltage outputs. The supply voltage to the sensor can be increased, allowing for operation with cables up to 500m in length, making it suitable for various laboratory magnetic field measurements.
