Custom Hardware and Software Development

Serenum’s team is highly qualified and specialized in the research and development of small satellites, providing custom development in mechanics, electronics, and software while keeping the development process swift and efficient, thanks to experience gained across numerous complex space projects and Serenum’s own in-house testing facilities. Capabilities include the development of custom mechanical components for 1-16U CubeSats, covering design, verification, analysis, qualification, and acceptance testing; development of custom electronic components for space applications, including breadboard development and verification, satellite architecture design, flight and qualification model development, engineering and flight model qualification and acceptance, custom mechanical and electrical ground support equipment (MGSE/EGSE) manufacturing, and lifetime, functional, and total ionizing dose (TID) verification; custom software development for ground and space segments based on the VZLUSAT group’s software tools, including flight software, subsystem software, and payload software; and development of inertial and measurement systems as well as time and frequency control systems. This end-to-end capability allows Serenum to support customers from initial concept through flight-qualified hardware and software, drawing on the same qualification and acceptance testing infrastructure used for Serenum’s own product line.
