About
The SL1 is HyImpulse Technologies’ orbital launch vehicle, optimized for low cost and affordability to deliver small satellites into orbit. Utilizing hybrid rocket technology, where solid fuel is integrated into the combustion chamber, the SL1 features a simplified launcher architecture with significantly fewer parts and components. This reduction in complexity enables rapid launch readiness, flexible scheduling, and short-notice mission execution. The SL1 aims to be Europe’s first hybrid launch vehicle, offering a high launch cadence of up to 12 launches per year, with a goal to reach 50 by 2030, and aims to halve the current launch cost for dedicated LEO launches of 600kg. It also offers fully-customized orbital delivery and high operational safety with hybrid propulsion.
