About

HyImpulse Technologies’ SR75 is a suborbital rocket designed for launching payloads of up to 250kg into an altitude of 200km. The maiden flight of a similar hybrid propulsion technology, the SR75 suborbital rocket, was successfully launched on May 3, 2024, from the Koonibba Test Range in South Australia. This launch marked a significant milestone for HyImpulse’s hybrid propulsion technology, demonstrating the performance and reliability of their paraffin and liquid oxygen engine. The SR75 is a key step in laying the foundation for the development of their orbital launcher, SL1. The rocket has a thrust of 75kN, uses paraffin/LOX propulsion, is 11m long, and has a diameter of 0.64m. It also features a recovery capability for payloads up to 700kg, with a performance apogee of 40km and a downrange of 50km.
