About
SpaceLink is a revolutionary relay service designed to overcome the limitations of traditional low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite communication. Currently, most LEO satellites can only download data or receive tasking commands when directly over an Earth station, leading to significant delays, often hours or more. SpaceLink addresses this challenge by providing high bandwidth and continuous communication capabilities for spacecraft. The service is building a 10 Terabit per second orbiting optical cloud, which will serve a wide range of space vehicles, including High Altitude Platforms and satellites operating in LEO, MEO, GEO, cislunar space, and even beyond. This infrastructure is designed to empower the burgeoning space economy by ensuring constant connectivity and reducing data latency.
