The 12U–16U Platform by Spacemanic is engineered for demanding space missions, providing the necessary power, volume, and flexibility for a range of applications. These include high-resolution imaging, advanced communications, and in-orbit technology validation. The platform is available in two main configurations: 12U and 16U, each offering distinct payload capacities and power options. Both configurations provide multiple communication options including UHF, VHF, S-Band, L-Band, and X-Band, as well as data interfaces such as I2C, RS-485, and CAN. The power supply unit (PSU) channels offer 3.3V, 5V, and 12V outputs, with additional 5V and 12V power outputs available. The 12U variant supports a maximum payload volume of 8.5U and a maximum payload mass of 16 kg, while the 16U variant expands these to 12.5U and 22 kg respectively. Both configurations provide more than 48 Wh of available power per PSU channel.
