Space Union (Lithuania) develops laser directed-energy systems, including an active space debris removal solution that decelerates spent satellites and debris with laser energy to hasten deorbiting. The company’s laser portfolio spans civil-infrastructure and border protection with tracking and detection, short-range counter-UAV protection using directed laser energy, drone-mounted laser payloads, and laser systems for blinding hostile drone cameras. Realized projects include a hardware-in-the-loop testbed for a disruption-tolerant low-Earth-orbit data relay system (LDRS) and laser-effects studies on materials with FTMC (Lithuania’s Center for Physical Sciences and Technology).
