About

The Spectrolab XTE-LILT is a high-efficiency triple-junction solar cell specifically engineered for low-intensity low-temperature (LILT) conditions experienced on missions beyond the asteroid belt. Used on landmark NASA missions including the Juno spacecraft at Jupiter and the New Horizons probe, XTE-LILT cells maintain high efficiency at the very low solar flux and cryogenic temperatures of deep space. Spectrolab, a Boeing subsidiary, has supplied solar cells for more than 1,000 satellites and spacecraft.
