About
The Sun Simulator (halogen) is ground test equipment designed for testing of ADCS (Attitude Determination and Control System) Sun orientation capability. The sunlight simulator produces an emission power similar to that of the Sun, using a halogen lamp as the radiation source. It provides a light power of 1000 W with a light spot diameter of 600 mm, a radiation flux of 1400 W/m2, and illumination from 1.5 m of not less than 80000 lx. The beam angle is 12° and it operates on a 220 V supply voltage. The product was released in 2009, has an estimated production/delivery time of 1 month, and is not flight qualified. It cannot be adapted to customer requirements.
