The Test Bench for Mutual Movement of Spacecraft is a ground-based aerodynamic test facility designed to ensure free movement of studied objects in the horizontal plane with minimal friction. The aerodynamic table consists of a precise horizontal surface with a grid of holes through which air from an external fan is supplied under pressure. This air pressure supports a load on an air cushion — one or more mock-ups of moving objects, each up to 10 kg — allowing them to move with very low friction. Motion parameters of the mock-ups are defined using an autonomous measurement system, enabling study of the mutual/relative movement dynamics between spacecraft mock-ups. The bench has overall dimensions of 5000x6000x3000 mm with an active working area of 1860×2480 mm, a maximum gap between disk and table of up to 0.5 mm, uses air as the working medium, and consumes 20 kW of power. The product was released in 2015, has no flight qualification (it is ground test equipment), and can be adapted to customer requirements. Estimated production/delivery time is 9 months.
