About
TOTEM is a high-performance Software Defined Radio (SDR) platform specifically designed for nanosatellites. It includes a UHF front end, with the TOTEM Motherboard serving as the control unit and RF transceiver, and the TOTEM UHF front end as an external piggyback board. The platform features an embedded Linux system and a wide frequency range transceiver, enabling users to cover most common nanosatellite frequency bands and rapidly deploy multiple SDR applications. Key features include a high-performance System-On-Chip (SoC) – Xilinx Zynq-7000 series, a wide frequency range RF transceiver (AD9364), and full duplex communication. It utilizes an FSI-connector based interface and offers the option to combine several applications (SDR, ADS-B, AIS, IoT, and SIGINT) with different frequency bands in the same payload. The SDR transceiver supports UHF, VHF, S-band, and L-band, with processing capabilities for X-band, Ka-band, and Ku-band. Storage includes 2x 4Gb DDR3L (1 GB or 512 MB with ECC), 1 GB NAND Flash, and 4 Mb MRAM (SPI controlled). The platform also offers front-end daughterboards for UHF and VHF, and an optional EGSE (Electrical Ground Support Equipment).
