Command & Telemetry Ground Units feature a PC-based architecture with Windows OS, an FPGA-based PCI Board for hardware coding/decoding, a user-friendly HMI, wide configuration parameters, high integration, and enhanced performance. They interface with Modulators and Bit Synchronizers via RS422 Data + Clock. TM GSE functionalities include Viterbi Decoder, NRZ-M to NRZ-L Decoder, Pseudo De-Randomizer, Reed Solomon Decoder, Frame Synchronizer, CCSDS FRAME Decoder, and CCSDS TM source packets Reassembly. TC GSE functionalities include CCSDS TC Encoding, COP-1 Procedures, and TC Authentication Layer.
The TSD I/F Bridge is a general-purpose communication device designed for complete testing of flight units across development, pre-flight, and post-flight phases. It bridges on-board interfaces (e.g., SpaceWire, SerDes) with standard Ethernet. Key features include an open architecture customizable with various I/F circuits via internal expansion boards, a fully integrated solution with a user-friendly MMI, a standard 2U unit for desktop mount (optionally 19” rack-mountable), air cooling, and a standard 230Vac power input. The unit is based on a proprietary main board with a state-of-the-art FPGA and embedded microcontroller. Baseline interfaces like Ethernet, UART, SpaceWire, and CameraLink are on the main card, with controllers embedded in the FPGA for improved integration. Custom interfaces can be implemented on mezzanine cards, with expansion connectors routed directly to the main board FPGA.
