About
VacCam is an in-situ video camera designed to internally monitor operations and processes inside vacuum chambers for industrial, scientific, and space ground-support applications. The system captures high-quality images and video within high-vacuum environments down to 10e-6 mbar, supporting manufacturing, testing, and process monitoring workflows where external visibility is restricted.
Construction utilises low-outgassing materials meeting strict contamination standards. Integrated LEDs provide built-in illumination, a USB 2.0 interface carries both power and data, and the compact 50 x 50 x 60 mm modular body enables flexible positioning inside the chamber. Heat-dissipative mounting points facilitate effective thermal management for dependable continuous operation.
The system supports both RGB colour and black-and-white greyscale imaging via a 1.3 MP CMOS sensor with C-mount lens interface. Frame rates up to 10 fps and a wavelength sensitivity range of 400–1000 nm make it suitable for a wide variety of vacuum process monitoring tasks.
