The Xenon Flow Controller is designed to supply and regulate the propellant flow rate for Stationary Plasma Thrusters with a discharge power of up to 5-6 kW. It precisely distributes the propellant flow between the anode and cathode lines of the thruster. The system consists of a flow regulator, which manages the total flow rate, and anode and cathode restrictors that ensure the correct distribution of the xenon propellant. The product was released in 1996 and has a guaranteed service life of 16 years. It has flight heritage, having been qualified as part of SS/Loral’s S/C and Airbus Defense & Space S/C.
