The Cyclone-4M is a two-stage medium-lift class launch vehicle developed by Yuzhnoye SDO for deploying spacecraft into low, medium, and high near-Earth orbits, including sun-synchronous orbits. At 39 meters tall with a 3.9-meter diameter, it leverages existing technologies from Zenit and Antares rockets, using proven components from Yuzhmash production facilities to significantly reduce development costs and time. The first stage burns liquid oxygen and kerosene using four RD870 engines producing 318.8 tf of thrust, while the second stage uses the RD861K engine burning nitrogen tetroxide and UDMH with five-start re-ignition capability. The vehicle features a full-metal payload fairing and an aluminum alloy first stage structure based on Antares rocket design. Both stages have completed ground development testing.
