MS-VR
The MS-VR is a compact optical Earth observation microsatellite developed by Yuzhnoye SDO that will obtain on-the-spot high-resolution digital panchromatic and multispectral visible images of the Earth’s surface. Operating in a sun-synchronous orbit at approximately 500 km altitude, the satellite weighs approximately 50 kg with a 15 kg payload allocation. It features orbit correction capability […]

About
The MS-VR is a compact optical Earth observation microsatellite developed by Yuzhnoye SDO that will obtain on-the-spot high-resolution digital panchromatic and multispectral visible images of the Earth’s surface. Operating in a sun-synchronous orbit at approximately 500 km altitude, the satellite weighs approximately 50 kg with a 15 kg payload allocation. It features orbit correction capability and an off-track re-aiming capability of plus or minus 350 km, enabling responsive tasking of targets well beyond the nadir ground track. The high-speed data downlink at 320 Mbps supports rapid delivery of imagery to ground receiving stations. With approximately 1 meter panchromatic and multispectral resolution in R, G, B, and NIR bands, the MS-VR provides a cost-effective compact imaging platform with an operational life of more than 5 years.
