Gran Systems

Gran Systems is a Houston, Texas-based system integrator and think tank supporting the global new space industry with services tailored to commercial, academic, and governmental clients. The company designs and manufactures CubeSat structures, buses, and ground support equipment, offering complete solutions from concept to assembly, including customizable structures, payload integration, and electronics using advanced materials.

Its CubeSat structure product line spans 1U to 16U form factors, built from anodized Aluminum T6 6061 with PC104-compatible mounting patterns following LibreCube specifications. Gran Systems has delivered over 100 CubeSat structures and 50 test pods, supporting 46+ satellites or missions worldwide. The company also offers the R2D3 CubeSat Bus, a fully integrated satellite platform from 1U to 12U and larger microsatellite sizes, combining an on-board computer, electric power system with solar panels and batteries, and optional deorbit drag device compliant with the FCC five-year deorbit rule.

The MyPOD series of test pods and deployers, listed on the NASA SmallSat Database, support qualification, acceptance testing, dimensional fit-checks, and safe storage/transportation of CubeSats for launch providers and CubeSat teams worldwide, enabling vibration, impact, and thermal vacuum testing.

Beyond hardware, Gran Systems provides space environment testing services (thermal vacuum, vibration, EMC, Helmholtz coils), space experiment and microgravity research support, and space education programs including CubeSat workshops and challenges such as KIBO Robot Programming and the AI Space Challenge, partnering with schools and universities globally.
