Indra Space is the dedicated space technology division of Indra Group, Spain's leading technology and defence company headquartered in Alcobendas, Madrid. With over four decades of heritage in the space industry, Indra Space has grown into a European prime contractor capable of delivering turnkey solutions across every layer of the space value chain — from satellite platforms and avionics to ground segment infrastructure, mission control, and geospatial intelligence applications.

The division's expertise spans five core segments: Earth Observation, Satellite Navigation, Telecommunications, Space Surveillance, and Space Exploration. Indra has served as a critical partner to the European Space Agency (ESA) across flagship programmes including Galileo (Europe's GNSS constellation), Copernicus Earth Observation missions, and interplanetary exploration missions (Cassini, JUICE, ExoMars, BepiColombo). Indra designed and deployed Galileo's ground segment infrastructure, comprising 15 Sensor Stations, 20 Uplink Stations, and 7 TT&C Stations worldwide.

In satellite navigation, Indra develops the Navishield GNSS protection system, the G3Star space-qualified GNSS receiver, and the POCP-S 2S secure platform for Galileo PRS infrastructure. For Earth observation, Indra offers the Mini4EO satellite platform (~200 kg LEO platform with 5+ year design life), the Insight4EO on-board AI processing system, and the OnEO Geospatial Intelligence Platform — a cloud-native digital marketplace for multi-source geospatial data analysis.

Indra Space's ground segment division is anchored by the Puertollano Antenna Park in Spain, featuring a 10.2-metre S/X-band antenna (the only commercial unit of this size on the Iberian Peninsula), supporting more than 30 Earth Observation missions globally. For space surveillance, Indra operates one of Europe's largest optical observation networks, tracking 12,000+ trajectories nightly with sub-arcsecond accuracy.
