About
The CMG 40-60S sits in the middle of Airbus’ CMG family, targeting satellites in the 1-2 tonne class. It provides up to 60 Nm of control torque and incorporates integrated micro-vibration damping to protect sensitive payloads such as high-resolution imagers from actuator-induced jitter.
Like the rest of the family, it is qualified for at least 10 years of LEO operation and is designed as a singularity-avoidance-capable building block within Airbus’ Newton CMG package for spacecraft requiring fast, precise pointing.
