About
STELLAR-BATT is Airbus’ lithium-ion battery product line for LEO constellation satellites, built using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) lithium-ion cells combined with automotive-grade components to drive down cost while maintaining space reliability. The STELLAR-BATT-S variant delivers around 1,700 Wh at 30V in an externally-mounted package, while the modular STELLAR-BATT-L spans roughly 900-3,600 Wh at 30V depending on module configuration.
The product line has strong production heritage, with more than 800 modules manufactured and deployed on the OneWeb constellation, demonstrating manufacturing scalability for high-volume constellation programmes.
