About

Airbus provides advanced Power Conditioning and Distribution Units (PCDUs) specifically designed and optimized for space applications. These solutions are crucial for ensuring reliable power conversion, regulation, and distribution, which in turn supports the efficient operation of spacecraft and their payloads. The units are characterized by high power density and superior efficiency, capable of handling power levels up to several kilowatts and designed to accommodate a range of input voltages. They are built to withstand the extreme conditions encountered in space, meeting the highest standards for durability and performance.

One key product is the PSR 100V MKII, a fully qualified, fault-tolerant, off-the-shelf unit developed by AIRBUS Defence and Space under an ESA initiative for telecom satellites. It boasts a power handling capacity of up to 23kW at 100V. The PSR 100V MKII has significant flight heritage, being onboard Alphabus, E3000, E3000-NEO, and Galileo platforms, and has been selected by major operators and other spacecraft manufacturers. It builds upon the legacy of the PSR 50V, which has more than 80 units in flight on various platforms worldwide.

Additionally, Airbus offers centralized DC power solutions for active antennas, featuring a modular approach that covers an output power range from 1 kW to more than 10 kW.
