About

Airbus offers a comprehensive range of sensors designed to ensure precision, reliability, and performance across diverse space missions for attitude and orbit control (AOCS) and guidance, navigation and control (GNC) applications. The range includes the Astrix series of fibre-optic gyroscopes (FOG), which provide unmatched inertial measurement accuracy, with bias stability as low as 0.0005°/h and mission lifetimes exceeding 15 years. Jena-Optronik star sensors, also part of the range, provide precise attitude control for applications spanning Earth observation to deep space exploration, ensuring robust performance under harsh space conditions. Complementing these, the BASS (Bi-Axis Sun Sensors) deliver dependable sun detection with a ±90° field of view, low mass, and high thermal resistance, making them suitable for LEO, GEO, and interplanetary missions. Datasheets are available for individual Astrix variants (Astrix NS, Astrix 200, Astrix 120, Astrix 1090) and BASS.
