About
The Antenna-feeder Device (AFD) Ionosphere is designed for transmitting radio signals of the spacecraft onboard transmitter to ground receiving points, and emitting coherent radio signals of the Mayak airborne transmitter into the lower hemisphere (nadir direction). It operates across 137 MHz, 150 MHz, and 400 MHz bands with 0–64 degrees coverage angle. System mass is 4 kg, comprising AFD 137 MHz, AFD 150 MHz, and AFD 400 MHz subsystems. Released in 2010 with 8-year service life and 6-month delivery time. Adaptable. Delivered for the Ionosphere spacecraft.
