About

Glavkosmos provides comprehensive services for Antenna-Feeder Systems (AFS) of spacecraft, encompassing development, manufacturing, and rigorous testing. These systems are crucial for transmitting and receiving signals in various space-based radio communication, broadcasting, and television applications. The core function of an antenna is to emit or receive electromagnetic waves, while the feeder facilitates the electrical connection between the antenna and the signal source or consumer. This connection can be direct or via a transmission line equipped with radio frequency connectors. The feeder’s role is to transmit electromagnetic waves from the radio transmitter to the antenna’s input and from the antenna to the radio. The transmitting antenna converts the energy of waves from the transmitter, via the feeder, into free vibrations propagating in space. Depending on the radio wave range, various feeder types are utilized, including two or multi-wire air feeders, rectangular, round, or elliptical waveguides, and lines with a surface wave. The product is flight-qualified and can be adapted to specific customer requirements.
