The satellite bus features a simplified avionics architecture, precise pointing control, and is flight-proven with 618 satellites already on orbit. Its low recurring cost is achieved through an integrated supply chain, industrial processes, and the use of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment.
The ARROW family is built and integrated at Airbus U.S. Space & Defense’s Merritt Island, Florida final assembly line in the Space Coast’s Exploration Park. The Airbus OneWeb Satellites (AOS) joint venture team developed an innovative approach to satellite manufacturing and supply chain collaboration, which resulted in the production of two satellites per day and mass-produced over 600 satellites for the OneWeb first generation constellation.
