About
The AIS-SWAG1-PQ is a sublimation warm gas thruster using solid unpressurized Adamantane as propellant. Designed for PocketQube and small CubeSat applications, it provides 120uN of thrust at 5W power. The system uses a sublimation heating approach requiring a 1-hour pre-heat time before reaching operational temperatures, with maximum thrust achieved after approximately 3 hours of warm-up. The thruster provides 3Ns of total impulse from 9.5g of Adamantane fuel, enabling approximately 6km of orbital movement for a 0.75kg 3P PocketQube or 4.5km for a 1kg 1U CubeSat. With an unpressurized solid propellant, the system is inherently safe and avoids the complexity of pressure vessels. Status: AVAILABLE.
