About
Magdrive Rogue is the company’s original, compact high-power propulsion system designed for satellites and spacecraft operating in LEO today, with a roadmap to deep space missions. Rogue uses solid metal propellant and onboard energy storage to generate high-energy plasma, achieving up to 100 W maximum charge power, 10 mN maximum thrust, and 3 kNs of total impulse in a CubeSat-compatible package of roughly 2.5 kg dry mass. Key applications for Rogue and its Warlock sibling include sustained rendezvous and proximity operations (RPO) for satellite servicing and in-space assembly and manufacturing, stochastic orbital maneuvering to make defense satellites less predictable and traceable, and constellation management including high-cadence collision-avoidance manoeuvres and end-of-life de-orbiting in congested low Earth orbit. Magdrive flew a full-scale Rogue thruster in its “Going Rogue” mission in June 2025, launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 Transporter mission in partnership with D-Orbit.
