About

ASPINA’s Reaction Wheels are designed for precise attitude control of satellites, ranging from CubeSats to 500kg class spacecraft. The product line includes models ARW-3m, ARW-0.35, ARW-1A, ARW-2, and the in-development ARW-12, each tailored for different satellite masses and performance requirements. These reaction wheels boast features such as low disturbance, light weight, and high power efficiency. They offer various momentum and torque capabilities, with maximum momentum ranging from 3mNms to 12Nms and maximum torque from 1mNm to 400mNm. The wheels operate at nominal speeds up to 7000 RPM and are designed to withstand the harsh space environment, with operating temperatures from -30 to 70°C, survival temperatures from -40 to 60°C, and radiation tolerance up to 30krad TID. Communication interfaces include I2C and RS485, and they support both speed and torque control modes. Flight heritage is planned, with initial units for ARW-3m, ARW-1A, and ARW-2 scheduled for launch in 2025 and 2026, and ARW-0.35 and ARW-12 also planned for launch in 2026. The TRL for most models is 8, with ARW-12 currently in development. ASPINA emphasizes short lead times, competitive pricing, and high production capacity, and offers customization options for specific customer needs.
