The ASTROFEIN RW90 is a small-satellite reaction wheel with integrated wheel drive electronics and latch-up protection, offering an angular momentum of 0.35 Nms at 7800 rpm. It provides different operation modes for speed and acceleration using model-based controllers, high torque and speed stability, extensive housekeeping telemetry (speed, voltage, current, temperature), and low vibration emission through precision mechanical design. The RW90 is designed for a service life exceeding 7 years in LEO and communicates via RS485/RS422.
