About
Busek’s BGT-X5 green monopropellant thruster system produces 0.5 N of thrust using ASCENT, a highly stable, non-toxic alternative to hydrazine offering 10% higher specific impulse and 45% greater density. The system features a patented long-life catalyst reactor, a high-temperature thruster body, and a flight-heritage low-power piezo microvalve. A novel propellant tank with a patent-pending Post-Launch Pressurization System (PLPS) fits the whole system into 1U of volume, scalable to higher total impulse by increasing tank size, or ganged in multiples for modular attitude control and translational thrust.
