About
EXCAL³ is a benchmark climatic testing chamber range designed to meet stringent precision requirements for environmental qualification. It spans a temperature range from -90°C to +180°C with temperature variation speeds of up to 25°C/min, and uses the natural refrigerant R-744 (CO2) for long-lasting, environmentally responsible performance, with R-449A/R-469 fluids available for lower minimum temperatures. The range is offered in 200 models across 8 chamber volumes (150 L, 225 L, 400 L, 540 L, 770 L, 1,000 L, 1,400 L, and 1,900 L), combining standardized production with made-to-measure customization. EXCAL³ can perform tests to standards including cold, dry heat, temperature variation, moist heat, and climate cycles. It offers relative humidity control from 5 to 98%RH between +10°C and +95°C, and thermal compensation capacity from 1,000W to over 10kW. The system is controlled via the Spirale control software, which provides a standard mode for easy program creation, a time-optimized ‘guaranteed step time’ (Wait for) mode to ensure programmed step timing regardless of sample load, and an Energy Saving mode that reduces electricity consumption by at least 40% during test cycles by operating only the cabinet containing the samples. The chambers combine robustness, modularity, and connectivity for reliable use from laboratory environments to production lines.
