EXCAL3 is Climats’ core range of climatic (temperature and humidity) test chambers, combining standardized production with made-to-measure customization across 200 models and 8 chamber volumes. Designed to meet stringent precision requirements, EXCAL3 is positioned as the benchmark for climatic testing, achieving temperatures from -90C to +180C with temperature variation rates of up to 25C/min. The range uses the natural refrigerant R-744 (CO2) for long-lasting, environmentally-friendly performance, and is built for robustness, modularity, and connectivity via the Spirale control system. EXCAL3 chambers are used for cold, dry heat, temperature cycling, moist heat, and climate cycling tests, serving applications from laboratory qualification to production-line testing across aerospace, electronics, automotive, and industrial sectors.
