About

The Composite Vessel is a composite-overwrapped pressure vessel designed to store and feed pressurant (nitrogen, air, helium) to propellant tanks and operating fluid to cold gas thrusters. It was developed for the Phobos Sample Return Mission international program’s return spacecraft propulsion system. The vessel holds 18 dm³ at up to 17.6 MPa operating pressure, with a liner mass of 1.95 kg and a total vessel mass of 5.8 kg. It holds flight qualification status (Letter ‘O’, flight use) and can be adapted to customer requirements, with a 15-year guaranteed service life.
