About
The CU2 Closed-Loop Module, supplied with a dedicated Reference Magnetometer, provides active compensation for external DC and AC magnetic field variations. This module is only compatible with 3-axis coils and is part of Bartington Instruments’ Helmholtz Control System. Key features include a DC disturbance field attenuation of -46dB ±1dB, a zero field DC drift over 6 hours of less than 100nT, and a maximum field per axis of less than ±500μT. The CU2 is designed for providing closed-loop support to a Helmholtz coil assembly. Applications include Directional Tool Calibration, Reference Magnetometry, Compass and Magnetometer Calibration, and Biomagnetics. A software update (SW3596 version 16.1) is available, allowing the installer to pass through Windows 11 security.
