About

DeepSpace-2 is the first commercially viable path to deep space, launching in the fourth quarter of 2026. This mission will travel millions of kilometers to rendezvous with a near-Earth asteroid, capturing high-resolution imagery to characterize its shape, structure, and mineral composition. The spacecraft is built on a 200kg modular platform, designed for high-cadence operations beyond Earth orbit using autonomous navigation and long-range communications. It uses Hall-effect thrusters for propulsion, generating 5 km/s Delta-V, and is designed to support a wide range of payloads. DeepSpace-2 generates 2 kW of power from onboard solar and stays in contact with Earth across distances up to 20 million kilometers using omnidirectional antennas. It is engineered to reach where no commercial spacecraft has gone before, operating autonomously for up to 2 years.
