About
This deployable reflector is a component of large antenna systems used on spacecraft requiring high-gain, wide-aperture communications or data-relay coverage. It deploys to a 4.2 m aperture diameter in orbit while stowing to a compact 1600 mm diameter and 1800 mm height envelope for launch, minimizing fairing volume while maximizing on-orbit RF performance. The reflector achieves a tight rms surface deviation of ≤0.3 mm under operational utilization conditions, which is essential for maintaining high-frequency signal integrity and gain across the deployed structure. At a mass of no more than 33.5 kg, the reflector is optimized for mass-constrained spacecraft buses. The product carries flight qualification and can be adapted to customer requirements, making it suitable for integration into custom large-aperture communications, data-relay, or Earth observation antenna systems developed by Glavkosmos for Russian and international spacecraft programs.
