About
Teledyne e2v’s space radiation-tolerant DDR4 memory is a high-density, high-bandwidth SDRAM solution specifically designed for the next generation of satellite on-board computers and payload processing systems. It addresses the growing demand for large working memory in high-performance space platforms carrying AI inference engines, SAR/EO image processing payloads, and high-data-rate downlink buffers.
The memory is processed and tested to withstand the total ionizing dose (TID) and single-event effects (SEE) encountered in LEO, MEO, GEO, and deep space environments. Unlike commercial DDR4 DRAMs that suffer catastrophic failures from single-event latch-up (SEL), the space variant is immune to SEL at high LET values. Teledyne e2v validates radiation performance with proton and heavy-ion testing at particle accelerator facilities and provides radiation assurance reports for each lot.
