About
Teledyne e2v’s radiation-tolerant LX2160A is a high-performance space processor based on the NXP QorIQ LX2160A SoC, featuring 16 ARM Cortex-A72 cores at up to 2 GHz. Teledyne e2v applies its proprietary radiation screening, characterization, and upscreening processes to the commercial device, making it suitable for space applications in LEO, MEO, and some GEO missions.
The LX2160A integrates 100G Ethernet controllers, PCIe Gen 3, DDR4 memory controllers, USB, UART, and multiple other high-speed interfaces in a single SoC, enabling high-performance satellite computing platforms with sophisticated networking and data handling capabilities. It is used in satellite on-board computers, payload data processors, and AI inference accelerators for Earth observation, communications, and science missions.
