About
The NEA ZSF100P Plug is part of EBAD’s Zero Separation Force (ZSF) and In-Flight Disconnect (IFD) connector series, providing reliable in-flight electrical disconnects for satellite and spacecraft separation, missile staging, and umbilical separation. This specific plug model has a shell size of 17 and an insert arrangement of 8 DF200SS2. It is designed to mate with the ZSF202S Receptacle. These connectors are factory calibrated to compensate for connector pin engagement and other retention forces, ensuring precise and smooth separation. They feature a floating shell to eliminate jamming during mating and separation and allow for blind engagement due to tolerance for linear and angular misalignment. Connectors can be mounted from the rear of the panel or bracket for ease of installation. They incorporate standard MIL-DTL-38999 inserts and MIL-C-39029 pin and socket contacts, are AS85049 compatible backshell, and are available with backshell hardware. Complete harness and disconnect assemblies are also available. The separation force is 0 N (0 lbf) or adjustable to customer specifications, and the engagement force is 90 N (20 lbf). It tolerates a linear misalignment of 0.76 mm (0.030 in).
